IPCC climate projections vs. Observed data

In Science, Recent Climate Observations Compared to Projections (Rahmstoorf 200 8) , with excellent coverage over at Skeptical Science.  Conclusion:

“A common skeptic characterisation of the IPCC is that they exaggerate warming projections and the dangers from global warming. In actuality, IPCC projections tend to underestimate climate change, particularly for sea level.”

There is a common misconception,  in large part due to An Inconvenient Truth, that global warming means Manhattan under 20 feet of water.  This is true, but its going to take awhile. What can we really expect?20-70 cm by 2100. Still a problem - but not of the sky is falling magnitude. Yet.
